Without a doubt, the number one question that most timeshare owners who are trying to get rid of their properties have, is this: “how can I sell my timeshare without paying high upfront fees?” you see, the reason why these people are wondering about this is because they have seen ads from all these services that promise a quick timeshare sell in exchange for pretty hefty upfront fees. Do you know which ones I’m talking about?
Let me tell you something, 2 out of 3 of those services is a scam and you better run away from them. All they want is your money and once you pay, all you’ll get will be excuses and run arounds as to why they haven’t sold your timeshare. So, don’t fall for these, OK?
Look, when ever you are trying to sell your timeshare, you can do it basically in 2 ways: you can sell it yourself in which case you will have to handle all the advertising and paperwork or you can hire a third party to do it for you. Each one has pros and cons and it basically depends on your individual circumstances. For example, do you feel comfortable taking it upon yourself to do the listing?
Let’s say that you want to avoid paying anyone anything and you’ve decided to do it yourself. Then you’ll need to do this:
1. Gather all possible information about your timeshare: amenities, dimensions, photos, etc.
2. List your timeshare on big traffic sites, like eBay, Facebook, Craigslist, etc.
